    1. Inspect water heater surface, connections, and visible wiring.  
    1. Inspect and clean heating element, gaskets and anode. Replacement of anode if needed (at additional cost). 
    1. Check for rust and leakage at joints and base. 
    1. Test thermostat accuracy and safety cut-off function. 
    1. Verify inlet/outlet pipe insulation and secure fittings.
